12/12/2023 0 Comments Second edition 1st playing cards![]() ![]() 1E OTF (Official Tournament Format, with a banned list of the most broken cards/degenerate strategies) is the preferred style of 1E endorsed / promoted / developed by the CC and played by the biggest number of active 1E players these days (OPEN format is still a hotly debated topic and played by a much, much smaller number of players.)ĢE has Standard Constructed at its primary, with a few offshoot types played in small doses (Infinite Diversity Draft, Slipstream, Traditional, etc.) ![]() I play both, so, I enjoy each for what they offer. If you're a big Trek fan, then, you'll most likely find more fun in 1E. ![]() Second Edition is much more gameplay balanced/sensical, that is, the CCG adheres to game tenets over storyline tenets.īoth are good, but, if you've gamed with other CCG's, it's probably better to start with 2E. First Edition is more 'Trek Sense' oriented, that is, if it happened on the show, the game elements can and usually do reflect that in 1E. You can play with both/either of physical/virtual in the respective editions. Both 'editions' have a physical pool and a virtual pool of cards. ![]()
